Description

Markon is seeking a Business Data Analyst / Knowledge Management (BDA/KM) to assist with decision making and efficiencies for our Intelligence Customer.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Spearhead an effort to bring together the disparate data sets and tools under a common data schema.
• Analyze current data sets, match business needs with this data, and recommend a path forward to deploy an integrated data system.
• Support business processes and decisions across all functional areas of the organization.
• Collect and validate requirements, provide a current state of data systems, develop options, and define projects necessary to complete integration.
• Model and analyze data as the system is being define and deployed. This modeling may support data calls, mock-ups of the future system, project pilots, and ongoing business effectiveness and efficiency activities.
• Assist the sponsor with the continuation of their business while the data system is under integration and deployment.

Qualifications

 

• BS degree in data analysis and/or Knowledge Management or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in business data analysis
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in knowledge management
• Previous experience in systems engineering or project management
• Ability to analyze business data for trends and identify efficiency opportunities
• Understanding of data structure and necessary correlations for business awareness and decision making
• Experience with collecting business data and conditioning the data for analysis
• Familiarity with data storage and retrieval tools and techniques
• Familiarity with Microsoft products including Excel, Work, and PowerPoint
• TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in data analysis
• Prior experience using JIRA and Tableau
• Experience with Python

Salary Range

USD $175,000.00 - USD $195,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
