Responsibilities
MTSI is seeking a skilled and proactive Operations Research Analyst that will apply advanced analytical and modeling techniques to solve complex problems. This role requires a strong foundation in mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and computer programming, along with the ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. The Analyst will lead projects, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, enabling them to navigate complex technical challenges while defining executable solutions.

Responsibilities:
Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:
- Perform data analysis using statistical software to identify trends, patterns, and insights to identify and define complex operational problems.
- Construct and validate predictive models.
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
- Manage operations research projects from conception to implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, share findings, and implement solutions.
- Create reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the performance of projects and analysis.
- Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of various decisions.
- Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in operations research methodologies, software, and technologies.
- Identify opportunities to leverage new techniques to improve outcomes.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of operations research, data analysis, or related experience required, and 5 years of experience in applying operations research techniques in project management and leading analytical projects.
- Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners.
- Possess a high degree of initiative and the ability to perform day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
Even better if you have these desired skills:
- Master's Degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with Python, AFSIM or other MS&A and analysis tools.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility.
