The Faith and Development Team is all about empowering World Vision's leadership and staff to live out, express, and celebrate our Christian faith and values in ways that are diverse, unifying, and joyful, while deeply respecting those of other faiths and views. We ensure that our Christian faith and values guide our response to the most vulnerable children in our ministry and organizational practices.

Our team positions World Vision as a thought leader and a compelling example of how faith-driven convictions can ignite positive and lasting change across the globe, in areas like relief, development, advocacy, and fundraising. We also work to expand and deepen our partnerships with churches and faith leaders, acting as connectors and mobilizing Christians and the Church, alongside other faith leaders, to make a greater impact together.

What You'll Do:

  • Create trend analysis reports: Analyze and report on trends related to children reached, broken down by country, region, and globally.

  • Develop Excel-based dashboards: Build dashboards with pivot tables and visual graphs to present data effectively.

  • Maintain datasets: Update and maintain the F&D dashboard datasets to ensure accuracy and relevance.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) or Development Studies: Expertise in understanding program impact and global trends.

  • Computer Science or Information Systems: Skills in data management, reporting, and dashboard development.

  • Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics: Proficiency in data analysis, trend identification, and visualization.

  •  Commitment to our Mission: You have a demonstrated commitment to and alignment with the goals, mission, and vision of World Vision, embodying its values in all aspects of your work.

What You Need to Know:

  • Location: Remote within the US. You must be physically located in one of the following states where WVI is registered as an employer: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia (Washington D.C.), Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

  • Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health, International Development, Global Studies, Business Administration, and Economics, or related fields.

  • Internship Cohort Dates: 27 May – 22 August. 

  • Stipend: this internship is unpaid, but all US-based interns receive a monthly stipend of $800.

  • Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available (24-40 hours/week)

Eligibility

All candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • Eligible to work in the United States (US Citizen/resident or F1-student visa) and have a valid US Social Security Number.

  • Able to commit to at least 24 hours per week for the entire internship period: 27 May – 22 August. 

  • Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate/graduate programme (within 2 years).

  • Adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.

  • Willingness to use own electronic devices for internship purposes, and disposition to let WVI install endpoint security software in those devices.
