Senior Associate, Principal Statistical Data Scientist

The role is/includes  

 

• An Individual Contributor role 

• Responsible for the quality of software development and deployment.  

• Some of the duties include analysis of software, and systems, mitigate risk and prevent software issues. 

• Analyzing users’ stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility 

• Collaborate closely with other team members and departments 

• Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) 

• Design and develop automation scripts when needed 

• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies 

• Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle 

• Creating and managing testing documentation 

• Ensure the tasks are completed with no or minimal supervision 

• Manage weekly/biweekly CDARS release 

• Experience in effort estimation, plan and define strategy and implement of Software Testing strategies 

• Understand the business requirements  

• Focus on Functional Testing, Stress Testing, Regression Testing, scalability testing, Smoke Testing and Adhoc Testing 

• Create/ review test plan, report etc. Design and develop automation scripts when needed 

• Check if the team has all the necessary resources to execute the testing activities 

• Check if testing is going hand in hand with the software development  

• Execute all the test case and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect 

• Creation of test designs, test processes, test cases and test data. 

• Carry out testing as per the defined procedures. 

• Prepare all reports related to software testing carried out. 

• Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures 

• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies 

• Experience in the complete Software Development Life Cycle 

• Experience in Agile delivery models 

• Good understanding of different testing methodologies, Black Box, White Box testing

• Updating project manager regularly about the progress of testing activities

• work towards departmental and project deadlines 

• Liaise with project teams in other parts of the world 

• communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues 

• Ensures excellence in the understanding of CDISC IG requirements, NCI Control Terminology and processes involved in the development or qc of analysis ready datasets, tables, listings, and figures for which they are responsible 

• Exhibits routine and occasionally complex problem-solving skills, seeking direction when appropriate

• Regularly update leads on progress and time estimations to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate planning 

• Collaborates with stakeholders, such as Data managers and statisticians and programming leads for day to day deliverables, as needed 

• Assist leads in mentoring and coaching juniors in the team and managing theresource and project by supporting them on the project activities 

• Grow as SMEs for key topics of interest, and lead efforts such as automation, involve globally and local

• May contribute to department level initiatives and engagements externally to the organization
