Reporting to the Head of DX (Digital Transformation) AI & Automation, the Automation Engineer is a key player in embedding automation into our business processes with technologies like Python, Data Bricks and Power Automate. With significant progress in building AI and ML models it is now possible to transform our ways of working by fully integrating them in Sony Europe’s way of working. The Automation Engineer will join a small and talented team of data scientists and engineers and will play a key role in the end-to-end AI and Automation lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about automation, possess technical acumen, be knowledgeable about a range of automation technologies and will be excited to work on the forefront of technological evolution.

You will help with:

• Automation development: Develop automation solutions in a range of technologies including python based scripting.
• ML Ops: Work with data scientists to put machine learning models into production and into practice.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with data scientists to incorporate AI into end-user facing applications. Create comprehensive documentation for automation processes, configurations, and best practices.
• Chatbots: Support the development of chatbots and virtual agents to enhance user interaction and automate routine tasks.
• DevOps: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless and automated deployment of automation tools.

You will bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Minimum experience of 2 years.
• Good understanding of programming/scripting (e.g., Python, Groovy).
• Experience with version control and project pipeline tools (GIT, JIRA, Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of workflow automation tools e.g. Power Automate, Airflow
• Knowledge of DataBricks would be especially useful. Knowledge of SQL is required.
• Previous experience with writing automations and integrating systems using APIs would be valuable.
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and influentially both verbally & in writing
• Fluent in English
