The Opportunity:

As a Data Governance Analyst, you will be instrumental in developing and managing our data governance processes and maintaining strong relationships with our partners. This role involves supporting all facets of our governance program and operations, with a particular focus on enhancing our stewardship framework and capabilities for sensitive data review and monitoring. Utilizing your excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, you will identify inconsistencies in the implementation of our standards and procedures, work to address any gaps, and ensure that effective monitoring mechanisms are in place.

As a Data Governance Analyst on our team, you will: 

• Develop and maintain our stewardship model, governance tools, and resources for stewards and other partners 

• Facilitate cross-functional data discussions and engagement sessions with stewards and other partners 

• Develop and conduct ongoing exception access audits and reviews 

• Review data sources to identify, categorize, and classify sensitive data, and update and maintain our sensitive data element catalog with policy information and requirements 

• Develop requirements for sensitive data access monitoring and operationalize processes

You Have: 

• 5+ years of experience working in a data governance role  

• 1+ years of experience with SQL or Python   

• Experience in data governance or data management

• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices 

• Ability to be highly organized 

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams  

• Ability to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships  

• Ability to think critically and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment  

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience in categorizing and classifying data 

• Experience with Immuta or data security software  

• Experience with Databricks   

• Experience with data analytics tools and technologies, including Tableau or Power BI  

• Knowledge of agile methodologies and using an ecosystem of collaboration tools, including Confluence and Jira 

• Possession of excellent attention to detail

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
