Job Summary:

As a part of the Financial Systems team, you will work together with a team of data engineers to build and maintain an in-house developed system focused on automating record keeping of online sales (subscription and track purchases) and PSP settlement data. Sales and settlement data are automatically ingested from multiple platforms, transformed and then automatically posts aggregated sales revenue on a daily cadence to our ERP system Netsuite. The platform also offers a simplified presentation and analysis of the online sales and settlement data sets in a Dashboard, where the finance team is able to filter, drill down and download data through quick summary reports designed for their convenience. The data is also exported to our DWH for user consumption.

How you will make an impact:

• Own, maintain, configure, enhance, deploy and document our financial systems infrastructure, particularly our custom code and integrations.

• Explore, discover, analyze, prototype, experiment and measure. Work with stakeholders and management to define systems requirements for new technology implementations, staying abreast of current industry trends.

• Review, retrospect and adapt, (re)learn and (re)iterate based on new knowledge and experience. Contribute to well-functioning collective ownership and decision making. Think and build smart, both for now and with the future in mind.

• Implement automation to make processes repeatable, scalable, and secure.

• Monitor systems and networks for issues and vulnerabilities and investigate security incidents when they occur based on established policies and protocols.

We believe that to succeed in this role, you have experience in some/all:

• A university degree in computer science or equivalent experience

• At least 5 years of data engineering experience

• Interest working with financial data in a business environment.

• Experience working with databases, including advanced query usage and DBT/Dataform

• It will be an advantage if you have experience working with GCP.

• Experience of data processing frameworks such as Spark, Beam, Flink, EMR etc.

• Proficiency in scripting & automation languages such as Python, etc and in coding.

• Communication, collaboration and facilitation skills and capabilities. Including ability to effectively facilitate information flow and alignment between you and co-workers. You have a track record of working and communicating well with many different kinds of people.

• Fluency in English: you are an excellent communicator both in speaking and writing

And it’ll be awesome if you also know a bit about:

• Payments backends.

• NetSuite / ERP systems and automation libraries.

• Business intelligence or analytics.
