Role purpose    MUFG Retirement Solutions business understands the pivotal role that data plays in shaping the future of superannuation savings and retirement planning.    As the Associate Product Manager for Data Solutions, your role is to support the development and management of innovative data-driven solutions that empower our clients to make informed decisions about the service offerings that shape their members’ savings and retirement experiences.    You will work closely with the Product Portfolio Lead – Data & AI, senior product managers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the strategic direction of our data solutions portfolio and ensure the successful delivery of impactful solutions that drive positive outcomes for our clients and our business. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the retirement experiences of our clients’ members and shape the future of retirement planning solutions.

    Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities  
  • Assist senior product managers in defining and communicating the strategic vision and roadmap for our data solutions portfolio, aligning with business objectives and client needs.
  • Contribute to market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for growth within the data solutions market.
  • Support the development and management of data-driven solutions, through the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to support the development and management of data-driven solutions, including gathering requirements, defining features, and validating solutions.
  • Assist in translating client insights into actionable product strategies and roadmaps, ensuring that solutions meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in conducting market research and analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation within the data solutions market. 
  • Gather feedback from clients and stakeholders to inform product strategy and prioritize enhancements that drive client satisfaction and retention.
  • Support efforts to drive revenue growth through the optimization of data solution offerings, pricing strategies, and distribution channels.
  • Monitor product performance metrics, including revenue, profitability, and client engagement, and take proactive measures to address any areas of underperformance.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, data teams, IT, and business units, to support the successful delivery of data solutions.
  • Support efforts to serve as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, including clients, data vendors, and technology partners.
  • Assist in the establishment of governance frameworks and processes to facilitate effective decision-making, risk management, and compliance within the data and AI solutions portfolio.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of robust data governance frameworks to ensure the integrity, privacy, and security of data within our solutions.

Experience & Personal Attributes Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in product management, data analytics, or related fields through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques, such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and/or visual communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passion for driving positive outcomes for clients and a commitment to delivering exceptional data solutions.
