About the role:
As the Senior Content Manager / Content Lead, you will be the creative powerhouse behind every word and story our customers read, leading a diverse off-shore team to craft impactful ad copy, CRM journeys, product landing pages, and an engaging blog ecosystem informed by SEO insights.
You’ll partner closely with our dedicated SEO Manager, who will provide data-driven guidance to help shape a best-in-class content plan. Leveraging AI and large language models (LLMs), you’ll turbocharge (not replace) your team’s output so we can respond swiftly to market needs and deliver remarkable brand experiences at scale.
This is a highly cross-functional role where you’ll collaborate with brand, creative, journeys, product, sales/distribution and more, bringing our brand voice and product benefits to life across all channels and fuelling business growth.
This role is based in Sydney.
Job Description
- Leadership and Strategy
- Lead the newsroom rhythm, ensuring timely and impactful content creation.
- Develop and drive the content strategy across both brands, focusing on quality, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Serve as an ambassador for the company's CVP and content framework, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Lead an onshore and offshore team, partner with agency and internal stakeholders, and leverage AI/LLMs to scale content creation in a strategic and responsible way.
- Content Creation and Collaboration
- Write and oversee all written content types including advertising copy, journeys/CRM (Emails, SMS, notifications, etc.), product landing pages, and SEO-informed blog articles ensuring a cohesive and sharp brand voice.
- Collaborate deeply with the SEO Manager to integrate keyword insights and on-page best practices, maintaining a balanced, content-first approach to win the search and and AI summaries game.
- Ensure that all site content is accurate, consistent, and on-brand, maintaining a distinctive tone of voice for our brands.
- AI-Driven Content Scaling
- Champion the use of AI and LLMs to enhance the speed and efficiency of content production ensuring human oversight and quality remain paramount.
- Establish frameworks and processes so your team can quickly adapt AI-generated content, making it market-ready while preserving creativity and brand authenticity.
- Content Management and Optimization
- Build and maintain the content calendar across key channels to meet campaign deadlines and support broader business objectives.
- Own the development of a content governance system, maintaining and optimizing older web pages for continued relevance and performance.
- Manage day-to-day content operations, including page-level creation, formatting, editing, testing, and optimization on the company’s CMS.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Brand, Journeys, Creative, Product, Design, and Distribution to develop pages, journeys, and features that are on-brand, engaging, and informed by data.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to align content plans with marketing strategies, product launches, and broader organisational priorities.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Track and report on key performance metrics related to content engagement, organic traffic (in partnership with the SEO Manager), and conversion.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously refine and improve the content strategy, ensuring it meets business objectives and drives growth.
Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in content strategy and execution and advertising copywriting.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies across multiple channels.
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization) with the ability to partner effectively with an in-house SEO Manager.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling content that drives engagement and conversion.
- Experience leading and managing a team of content writers, with strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Comfort and expertise in using AI/LLMs to scale content creation while preserving brand authenticity.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making and strategy refinement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
