Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• End to end understanding of Marketing Risk processes and frameworks underpinning them
• Ownership and maintenance of the Marketing Risk and Controls framework including data, process and systems dependencies
• Ownership and maintenance of the Marketing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the relevant functions and SOP owners
• Marketing point of contact for internal and external audit, process and controls reviews
• Facilitate the running of the Marketing Governance Forums including inputs and approvals
• Manage the Marketing masterdata including controls, users, and access management in collaboration with IM and other dependent functions
• Monitor operational risk reporting including integration with the wider Marketing team, and managing the investigation and close out process
• Provide cross-functional support to the wider risk teams, including their link into the Risk and Controls Framework
• Implement a purpose-driven, high-performing culture that is aligned with the company values, is inclusive and promotes diversity, supports engagement and fosters continuous improvement to work processes.
• Drive opportunities for automation and continuous improvement across the Risk space.

Qualifications

• Degree educated with a qualification in finance, business or economics
• Desirable: Quantitative disciplines such as in engineering, mathematics 

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in data governance, operational risk, compliance, or a similar field within a corporate or financial services environment

Knowledge and Skills

• Demonstrate numeracy and attention to detail
• Work comfortably with systems and spreadsheets
• Solve problems effectively
• Demonstrate risk control experience in the commodity trading environment, including physical and financial markets
• Understand commodities markets, P&L reporting, exposure/position reporting, and Value at Risk (VaR) reporting
• Apply risk modeling techniques in Excel/Access using VBA, with Power BI experience preferred
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of P&L and exposure calculations for physical and financial commodity trades, including complex derivatives like options
• Build, review, and amend Excel/VBA models and generate data warehouse queries in SQL; SQL experience is beneficial
• Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across a global organization.
• Exhibit understanding of the metals commodities market, such as Copper, Nickel, Zinc, Aluminium, Tin, and Precious Metals
• Interface with risk team members in other regions to support Follow the Sun operations.
• Support global reporting strategic initiatives and regional business activities
