Wells Enterprises, Inc. is the largest privately held, family-owned ice cream and frozen treat manufacturer in the United States.The Data Scientist, Revenue Growth Management Analytics is responsible for supporting our Revenue Growth Management (RGM) and larger Advanced Analytics capability by designing and implementing analytical models and data solutions. Responsible for extracting insights from complex datasets to inform pricing, promotion, and revenue optimization strategies. Ability to use technical expertise with a business-oriented mindset to drive actionable insights that fuel business growth.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design and implement predictive and prescriptive models to support pricing, promotion, and product mix optimization
- Extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities, and skilled in automating data pipeline to ensure sustainability of the solution.
- Develop and deploy machine learning algorithms to improve forecasting, segmentation, and decision-making
- Build scalable tools, scripts, and applications to automate analyses and streamline decision-making processes for ensure integration and end user adoption
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to interpret model outputs and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, category management, and finance, to integrate data science solutions into business processes
- Stay current with emerging data science tools, techniques, and trends to enhance analytics capabilities.
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts into easily understandable terms.
- Bachelor’s in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role.
- Experience with pricing, promotion, or revenue management analytics.
- Past experience working in the FMCG is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and algorithm development.
- Solid understanding of sales, marketing and financial performance metrics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Expertise in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Curious, driven and a strategic thinker, ability to thrive in the ambiguous environment.
- Has the technical expertise with a business-oriented mindset to drive actionable insights that fuel revenue growth.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

The base pay range for this position is $84,648 to $118,507 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This pay range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
