Job Description
As a Senior Product Analyst at zooplus, you will join our Product Analytics team, serving as the advanced analytics service-provider for our product teams, within the CPO division. You'll take ownership of the entire analytics pipeline for your assigned stakeholders, from provisioning analytical data (e.g., via analytical data marts) to crafting reports, designing dashboards, conducting exploratory data analysis, creating visualizations, generating insights, and offering actionable recommendations.
Your role involves close collaboration with designated product areas, understanding their unique business goals and challenges. You'll ensure that the insights you uncover are fully aligned with our product strategy and objectives. When necessary, you'll coordinate with relevant colleagues to ensure data generation and collection meet analytical requirements, ensuring you have all the necessary data to perform your analyses effectively. You'll play a pivotal role in fostering a data-driven culture within zooplus.
By sharing your insights with your assigned product area and business teams, you'll empower them to make informed decisions. Additionally, you'll provide training to team members, enabling them to independently access and utilize reporting data, further strengthening our data-driven approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end analytics pipeline, focusing on transactional and behavioral data analysis utilizing applied statistics.
- Conduct deep dives into product-specific datasets, providing rigorous and actionable insights.
- Conduct product discovery analysis aligned with product objectives to identify opportunities, generate hypotheses, and guide experimentation.
- Apply statistical techniques (A/B testing, regression analysis, forecasting) to analyze product performance and inform decision-making.
- Develop advanced dashboards and SQL-based reports to track key performance indicators.
- Present findings and recommendations for action to key stakeholders, adapting communication for different audiences.
- Integrate insights from multiple data sources into a cohesive analytical framework.
- Act as a data specialist within the product domain, guiding best practices in transactional data and statistical modeling.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to developing the analytics function.
- Stay updated on analytical advancements and recommend new methodologies or tools.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and statistical background with a critical thinking mindset.
- 5+ years of experience in a data-driven product environment, preferably in e-commerce.
- Proven ability to apply statistical techniques (A/B testing, regression, forecasting) to business challenges.
- Expert-level in SQL (including query optimization, handling large datasets, and data mart creation) and transactional data analysis for evaluating business performance and customer behavior.
- Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
- Experience with Adobe Analytics or similar digital analytics tools is a plus.
- Experience working in/with digital customer facing product teams and event data is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Python or R for statistical modeling and automation.
- Ability to simplify complex data insights and tailor messaging for different audiences.
- Experience leading analytics projects that impacted the whole company and working cross-functionally with product and business teams.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
- First steps in project & team leadership
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
