BI Developer- Senior:

About the Role

How you will contribute 
• Gather specific requirements and documentation from sites or internal departments for related projects.
• Overall administration of a global enterprise QlikSense environment with multiple nodes, security hierarchy, software update management, licensing, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, extensions, UAT testing, change management and defining best practices.
• Design and configure QlikSense apps and dashboards while presenting the data in a logical and effective format.  
• Mentor local teams to build and deploy self-sufficient applications, reports, training/coaching of QlikSense to BI Developers and other BI Analysts to achieve global and site goals.
• Participate in structuring standard solution sets to expedite roll out of tools and cultivate adoption of these new solutions.
• Automate common data sets to improve efficiency of end users and reduce data entry into multiple systems.
• Ability to understand data trends, monitor and review data collected, normalization, how to provide predictive analytics and actionable data sets.
• Determine requirements for system enhancements, documentation and interfacing with IT team to accomplish changes.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Your Key Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field (master’s preferred); however, advanced QlikSense experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Understands principles and concepts in supply chains, warehousing, fulfillment and logistics.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, follow up, problem resolution and facilitation skills while working with various levels of the organization.
• Able to document all processes, process changes and gathering of specific requirements related to a project.
• Strong analytic skills for working with unstructured datasets to transform data and approach these problems in a creative manner.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• QlikSense enterprise administration via QMC, extensions, data modeling and connections, scripting, app development, 3rd party apps including Mail & Deploy, VizLib.
• Knowledge of various database platforms, data lakes/warehousing techniques, optimization within ‘big data’ storage and methodologies of how to extract this data (ETL process).
• Advanced knowledge to write, fine tune and troubleshoot queries in SQL against relational databases as required. (ex. Postgres, Progress, Oracle)
• Working knowledge of REST connectors and API calls.
• Experience in reverse engineering existing applications to determine how such apps can be converted and built within QlikSense.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, CSS and other programming languages.
