Job Description
The Planning Specialist prepares business related analyses and research for Supply Chain, especially in Planning. The individual prepares forecasts, analyzes trends related to Planning and uses the analyses to compile and prepare reports, graphs and charts of data and/or ensure efficiency.
- Demand Responsibilities:
- Book IC demand for KHT to ADVN/China.
- Place Purchase Requests (PR) and input forecasts at IC sites.
- Update ETD and ETA for CS/Sales and track PR IC orders (or IBR orders).
- Monitor incoming actuals against forecasts to identify any low or excess intake issues, collaborating with the Sales team from both capacity and material perspectives.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts as part of the demand planning process.
- Work with Sales and Finance to analyze forecast anomalies and enhance forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a capacity model.
- Notify higher management about service and capacity concerns.
- Create and maintain reporting dashboards (daily intake, forecast accuracy, etc.).
- Corporate with material planner in other AD sites (and global supply chain team) to sharing/Buying FG excess stock.
- Balance backlog between ADVN factories (and subcon)
-Material Responsibilities:
- Analyze and plan material needs to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor reorder points to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Manage inventory turns and inventory levels through simulation.
- Work with GPD and Sales to identify risks related to material changes and address inventory reserves.
- Plan and manage material movement in coordination with purchasing, warehousing, and production, including negotiating lead times with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree. 1-3 years SML or related experience.
• Good analytical, mathematical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills and detail-oriented.
• Ability to interface with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements.
• Familiarity in process documentation and improvement.
• Ability to design, develop, and maintain tables, formulas, graphs, queries and macros.
• Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office and function specific software.
