Job Title: Business and Data Analyst
Location: Conyers, GA
What we are looking for:
Business and Data Analyst who has business experience and proven skills to understand Business processes and use analytical tools to foster collaboration and partnership with Sales, Product management and Operations departments.
The job needs to work closely with company departments, promoting cross functional collaboration to map various data flow processes and provide insights into data to help drive department decisions or initiatives to weigh their success. They will be responsible for creating a system for collecting and storing data within company databases; and use analytical tools to drive business decisions and provide insights to stakeholders.
This position will work closely with Dover DFR IT & BI team, internal and external business partners. In addition, the role will provide recommendations to maintain data integrity alignment across the process /systems involved.
What you will be responsible for in this role:
- Manages and facilitates data flow discussions by partnering with owners of different Functional departments.
- Develop processes and methods to gather and present data across multiple ERP systems, analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Data analysis:
- Using data analysis methods to identify trends and provide recommendations.
- Using data mining, machine learning, and other techniques to extract and analyze information from large datasets
- Developing models
- Building predictive models and algorithms to identify trends and patterns, and forecast outcomes
- Data visualization:
- Using visualization software to create data displays that communicate complex analysis
- Creating dashboards to help stakeholders understand the data
- Making recommendations
- Using data analysis to identify insights and implications, and make strategic recommendations
- Business strategy:
- Defining and implementing a long-term BI strategy
- Data quality: Ensuring data quality in the BI environment
- Staying up to date
- Keeping abreast of the latest developments in data science, technology, and analytics
- Lead data scientists often use data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. They may also need to be able to learn complex new domains quickly.
What are the basic qualifications?
- Bachelor’s Degree required in the field of, Computer science, Engineering in Information technology, Statistics, Mathematics or Business.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Power BI/Tableau, OBIEE, ETL Data extract, Advanced Excel, Dashboard and KPI metrics creation.
Preferred qualifications
- Master of Business Administration in Information Technology
- Computation and visualization, Data Mining, Business Intelligence, SQL, Tableau, Probability & Statistics, Predictive analysis.
- Experience developing and driving the implementation of BI best practices
- Experience in designing and implementing enterprise security models
- Experience with programming languages like SQL, Python, or R
- A commitment to continuous learning
- Finance and Business analysis experience is a plus.
