Manager:  Dr. E.M. Kwofie, Bioresource Engineering
Position Summary: (1) Technical Development:(a) Design and implement machine learning models using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras for predictive analytics and process optimization in food processing systems, (b) Develop and maintain digital twin systems by integrating deep learning models with real-time data acquisition systems; (c) Create and deploy computer vision applications using modern frameworks for automated quality control and monitoring; (d) Build scalable full-stack applications.  (2) AI/ML Implementation:(a) Create and deploy neural network architectures for regression, classification, and anomaly detection in food processing; (b) Implement DevOps practices to streamline AI model deployment and maintenance; (c) Design and optimize deep learning models for real-time monitoring and control.  (3) Research & Development:(a) Lead the technology team to develop novel software solutions for food decision support systems (b) Coordinate cross-functional teams in implementing software solutions across different food system projects; (c) Research and implement emerging AI technologies to improve process efficiency and food quality and safety (d) Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive documentation of AI systems.
Qualifications: (1) Demonstrated expertise in machine Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras), computer vision and image processing, deep neural networks, python programming for AI/ML applications; (2) Strong background in full-stack development; (3) Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools; (4) Experience in developing scientific research into software applications (must show sample projects)Strong documentation and technical writing skills (5) Team leadership, project coordination and cross-functional teamwork are strong advantages (6) A degree or credible certification in Food Engineering/AI Engineering/Computer science or similar field.
