Digital Analyst
Your role
Applications are currently being invited for the role of Digital Analyst to join our Customer Data Team reporting into the Data & Insights Manager. You will support several teams across the Customer Division (particularly marketing, product and digital teams) to provide actionable insights through data analysis, visualisations and insights. The successful candidate will have responsibility for analysing and optimising consumer lifecycle through acquisition, engagement, and retention, in line with our strategic brand and marketing intent.
We want you to play a key role in accelerating our incredible brands performance across the regions that Aer Lingus operates in by taking the reins on our data, performance analytics, and showcasing your insights to compel action.
Principle Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Utilise SQL and/or Python to extract, clean and analyse large datasets from various sources including websites, social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms
- Design, develop and implement data visualizations to effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key business questions and provide actionable insights to support decision making.
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, implement and manage tracking strategies using tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Support marketing teams to track the performance of campaigns and suggest data-driven improvements
- Use Google BigQuery to process analyse large datasets, enabling deeper insight into digital performance
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data analysis and visualization techniques and tools to continuously improve data insights.
Your qualifications and key criteria
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics or proven background in the area of data analysis or similar field.
- 3+ years of experience in a data analysis role, with a focus on digital performance
- Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Management and digital marketing platforms (e.g. Facebook ads, Google Ads).
- Strong SQL and/or Python skills with a proven ability to manipulate large datasets.
- Experience with Google BigQuery for querying and analysing large datasets
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or Looker Studio.
- Strong analytical skills, with a passion for solving complex problems through data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations and proven strength in storytelling with data.
- A passion for improving customer experience and driving business outcomes.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually. (This is a hybrid position – offering flexibility to work from home set days per week.)
