Our team of scientists provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to programs that have the potential to provide our nation with an overwhelming intelligence advantage. That’s why we need you, a physicist, who specializes in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, to help us advise our clients' work with research partners that come from Academia, other research institutions, and private industry. You’ll work hand in hand with the program manager to deliver technical support and expertise on new concepts beyond the program but integral to the program’s success. You Have:
Experience supporting the Intelligence Community or Defense communities
Experience developing or refining, and testing statistical or probabilistic modeling methods, including metrics development, such as scoring function, error metrics, and quantitative and qualitative model evaluation methods, applied in at least 3 of the following domains: human language technology, computer vision, facial recognition, biotechnology and biodefense, predictive analytics, or offense and defensive cyber operations
Experience in government research and development projects
Experience with time series analysis, machine learning methods, and research program evaluation, including development of multiple metrics and methods
Experience with statistical analysis software packages in a professional work environment
Ability to proactively and independently identify potential technical and programmatic risks of AI/ML
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
Nice If You Have:
Experience with R or MATLAB preferred
Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics preferred
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
