We are looking for a passionate and innovative Data Engineer & Architect to join our dynamic Commercial team at Melbourne office.

Reporting to the Associate Director – Business Analytics, you will lead and manage data strategy implementation, governance, and architecture, supporting our mission to deliver life-saving therapies to patients. In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing development, execution and management of technology pertaining to data and analytics for the team.

The Role

Create and manage data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to ensure high availability and security.
Define best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes and data architectures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data integration and delivery.
Optimize database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across various platforms.
Develop and maintain automated data workflows to support data processing and reporting needs.
Research and analyse new technologies to improve platforms and user experience and attend industry conferences for new ideas.

Your Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
3+ years of technical experience
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data manipulation libraries.
Skilled in Snowflake with experience across various cloud platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
Ability to work with complex datasets and troubleshooting data issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
Excellent documentation, report creation, and presentation skills.
Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, selling processes, and therapies.
Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, data science concepts and AI-driven data solutions.
