Job Description:

We are seeking a Chief Research Leader in AI Computing Architecture to spearhead our initiatives in optimizing and innovating computing frameworks that facilitate powerful AI operations. 

This role involves leading a team of experts in designing next-generation computing architectures, with a particular focus on scalability, efficiency, and advanced AI capabilities. 

The ideal candidate will bring a strong leadership background, technical expertise, and a strategic outlook to our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the team to identify the evolution path of next-generation AI architecture. Continuously track AI technology trends globally. Anticipate new trends, breakthroughs, and disruptions, and use this insight to lead in AI architecture development. Define key problems in next-generation AI architecture development. Prioritize based on their impact on future AI system competitiveness and performance.
• Motivate the team to develop competitive solutions. Incorporate research, best practices, and market needs to ensure AI architectures outperform in efficiency, scalability, and adaptability. Ensure the technical feasibility and scalability of computing architectures for deployment in various AI scenarios.
• Lead research projects aimed at creating state-of-the-art computing architectures for emerging AI foundation models and applications, e.g. Deepseek, o1, Gemini, Llama, Qwen, Claude etc. Define and direct the research agenda to align with strategic business goals and technological advancements.
• Manage and mentor a team of researchers and engineers, fostering an environment of creativity and innovation. Collaborate with other senior leaders across the company to integrate AI computing architecture initiatives with broader company objectives.
• Develop partnerships with academic institutions and other research entities to enhance knowledge exchange and technical development. Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and other events, showcasing our leadership in AI computing architecture.

Requirements:

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computing architectures or AI.
• Senior technical experts and scientists from the industrial sector or academia with 10-20 years of experience in research and development within the field of computing architecture, including substantial experience in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience with AI technologies, particularly in the areas of machine learning and deep learning.
• Proven track record of innovative solutions in computing architecture and successful project leadership.
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and/or patents in relevant fields.
• Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire and direct a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hardware acceleration technologies, such as GPUs, TPUs, or custom ASICs.
• Previous collaboration with industry leaders and technology providers in the AI space.
• Demonstrated ability to secure funding and resources for research initiatives.
