Orca AI is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Deep Learning Research Engineer to be part of creating the future of the marine industry in the field of autonomous ships.
Orca AI applies cutting-edge research to train deep neural networks on problems ranging from perception to collision avoidance. Our per-camera networks analyze raw images to perform object detection, monocular depth estimation, tracking, and collision prediction.
Orca AI system operates on a fleet of ships sailing all over the world, advancing the maritime industry by providing intelligent navigation solutions, preventing collisions, and saving lives. We ensure safety in congested waterways and deep waters by staying committed in our vision to reduce human-caused errors through intelligent automated vessels.
Our technology helps Captains and Officers on the bridge get an accurate view of the environment in real time and make life-altering decisions. What will you do?
● Develop computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, depth estimation, and perception.
● Build and train deep learning models to enable complex scene perception for real-time analysis.
● Collaborate with team members to define future technology and features.
● Improvement of DL development cycles
Requirements
● M.Sc. degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field
● 5+ years of industry experience in the development and deployment of Deep Learning Algorithms.
● Strong Python programming and good understanding.
● Comfortable in unexplored territory, independent, and self-motivated.
● Excellent team player with strong communication skills in verbal and written English
Advantages:
● Broad understanding of data science and machine learning
● Experience with Vision Transformers, Graph Neural Networks, and Autoencoders.
● Experience with Projective Geometry (camera registration, blind PnP, SLAM)
● Experience with Edge Computing on Nvidia Jetson
