Location: Curinos is operating under a hybrid modality. Expectations are 1-2 days per week (Wednesdays / Thursdays) in the Toronto office.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Coach/Mentor and manage 2 Intermediate Tableau developers. This includes developing career plans, setting objectives and performing annual performance reviews.
  • Personally, be hands on and develop, design, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to support business needs.
  • Work within Agile Scrum teams meeting with Engineering Managers, Architects, Developers and Product Managers.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
  • Optimize and enhance existing Tableau dashboards for performance and usability.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau functionalities and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and industry trends.

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Expertise

  • Experience with Tableau 2023 or latest version
  • 2 years as a team lead (doesn’t need to be a Tableau team lead).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to professionally negotiate Tableau resource requirements with multiple product managers that have their own agendas. You own a team that services multiple product lines. You need to be able to solve resource demands and or make business cases for more resources.
  • 4+ years of experience in Tableau development and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy.
  • Extreme attention to data visualization cosmetics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

Tableau-Specific Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop, including the ability to create complex calculations, parameters, and interactive dashboards.
  • Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Online for publishing and sharing dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of Tableau's data blending and data joining capabilities.
  • Ability to optimize Tableau extracts and data sources for performance.
  • Knowledge of Tableau Prep for data preparation and transformation.
  • Familiarity with Tableau's API and integration capabilities.
  • Experience with creating and managing Tableau data extracts and live connections.
  • Understanding of best practices for dashboard design and user experience.

Helpful Skills:

  • Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Basic familiarity with Python.
  • Understanding test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Jira, GitHub, MS Teams.
