AttainX, Inc. is seeking a Data Visualization Specialist with experience in data culture initiatives to join our team. This role will focus on designing compelling visualizations that drive data literacy and engagement across the organization. The ideal candidate will have data visualization skills, a passion for promoting data-driven decision-making, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to foster a data-centric culture.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in data visualization, analytics, or business intelligence.
• Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar data visualization tools.
• Experience working with SQL databases and querying large datasets.
• Understanding of data literacy principles and experience promoting data-driven decision-making within an organization.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have or able to obtain USCIS security clearance.

Skills:

• Data Visualization, Data Management, Tableau, PowerBI, SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferably have USCIS background and client experience.
• Experience working with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Knowledge of data governance and data democratization principles.
• Familiarity with Python, R, or JavaScript (D3.js) for advanced data visualization.
• Prior experience in training or coaching teams on data best practices. Proven knowledge of federal data policies, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, OMB M-19-18, Federal Data Strategy).

 Duties: 

• Support for Dashboard Demonstrations that promote understanding and use of such resources. Tasks could include:
  1. Train and support stakeholders in understanding and navigating dashboards effectively.
  2. Collaborate with inter-directorate teams to develop and execute strategies to promote the use of data
  3. visualizations.
  4. Host workshops and training sessions to educate users about our dashboard.
• Support stakeholder communication and documentation. Tasks could include:
  1. Employing effective requirement gathering techniques such as interviews, surveys, document analysis, or use case development to ensure comprehensive understanding of the stakeholder needs. Ensuring requirements are validated to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  2. Creating well-defined user stories that clearly express the goals, motivations, and needs of the stakeholders and users. These should be clear, concise, and written in so that all stakeholders can understand.
  3. Validating the implemented solutions against the original requirements and user stories, ensuring the product meets stakeholder expectations.
  4. Support for geospatial data and visualization products, tasks could include providing spatial data analysis, data visualization (advanced mapping), and cartography using Government provided GIS technologies. Leverage geospatial data formats and understanding of map projections and geodetic concepts to employ into visualization products.
• Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other BI platforms to support business needs.
• Partner with business teams, analysts, and leadership to create data storytelling solutions that enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Advocate for and support a data culture by educating stakeholders on the value of data visualization and best practices.
• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and documentation efforts to improve data literacy across teams.
• Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure the availability of clean, structured, and reliable data for reporting.
• Promote self-service analytics, empowering teams to explore and leverage data independently.
• Ensure consistency in data definitions, governance, and visualization standards to maintain trust in data insights.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data visualization and data culture initiatives.
