Job Description:

The Member Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and managing data related to all Hill Physicians member demographics, eligibility, behavior, engagement, and overall membership experience.  This role involves collecting and analyzing large datasets, providing actionable insights to improve member services, retention, and growth.  Moreover, this role is responsible for supporting the development of data-driven strategies that enhance member satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Management:
    • Collaborate with the appropriate teams to collect, clean, and maintain member data received from external entities.  Also, for provider-entered member data, communication preferences (e.g., opt out) received via various channels, etc.
    • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of member data in Epic, Clarity, Data Warehouse, and the flow of member data to downstream systems, e.g., Cozeva.   Evaluate and make decisions on data fields, definitions and use.
    • Perform routine data quality checks and assist in the development of data validation rules.
    • Member of the Data Quality Taskforce.
  • Data Analysis, Reporting, and Insights:
    • Conduct exploratory and predictive analysis of member data to identify trends, behaviors, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Analyze key performance indicators related to member engagement, retention, acquisition, and satisfaction.
    • Develop and deliver regular reports and dashboards to management and other stakeholders, providing insights that guide decision-making.
    • Segment the member base into meaningful groups for targeted campaigns, engagement, and retention efforts.
    • Use data to identify opportunities and provide actional insights to improve the member experience/satisfaction, enhance retention, and grow membership.
    • Create ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed to support special projects or strategic initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Support:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Governance and operations, to share insights and support data-driven initiatives.
    • Assist in developing and optimizing member-facing campaigns, communications, and engagement strategies based on data findings.
    • Provide analytical support for membership-related projects, including new member onboarding, program enhancements, and satisfaction initiatives
  • Tool and System Optimization:
    • Support the use and adoption of data analytics tools, CRM, and databases related to member data.
    • Recommend improvements to existing data management practices and processes to ensure data is utilized effectively.
  • Business Data Steward:
    • Function as the primary point-of-contact for member data.
    • Participate in process, standards, and data definition.
    • Member of the Data Stewardship Council.
  • Other tasks/projects which may be related to member experience, engagement and/or the contact center as assigned.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum years of experience required – 5-7
  • Minimum level of education required – Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a data analyst, preferably with a focus on membership, customer, or user data.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Epic Cheers, Salesforce).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing or data intelligence platforms and data governance tools (e.g., Alation) preferred.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modeling, segmentation, or machine learning preferred

Additional Information:

Salary: $73,000 - $94,000 Annual
