What will you do?  What are we looking for? 

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Databricks Senior Consultant to design and deliver scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that align with our business goals. The ideal candidate will be the go to person for anything Databricks related, define best practices, be the tech SME and willing to roll up the sleeves. 

Key Responsibilities:  

Solution Design:  

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs.  

Develop end-to-end solutions that address customer needs and align with organizational standards.  

Technical Leadership:  

Best Practice Definition: Determine and evangelize standards and practices to maximize integrity, stability, and performance at all steps in the software development lifecycle.  

Cross-Team Collaboration: Align with architects, product managers, and agile leads on design patterns and standards. Work with peer teams to ensure technical consistency and integration across our ecosystem.  

Backlog & Roadmap Management: Contribute to the squad’s backlog, prioritizing technical debt, performance enhancements, and modernization initiatives. Help refine and break down epics into achievable deliverables.  

Team Development & Mentorship  

Mentorship: Guide and upskill junior and senior engineers on the squad, sharing best practices  

Define training plan for skill development.  

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:  

Work closely with clients, product managers, project managers, and developers to gather requirements and validate solutions.  

Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams on technology best practices on Databricks and Data engineering 

Governance and Compliance:  

Ensure that all solutions meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards.  

Define and enforce architectural guidelines and coding standards.  

Continuous Improvement:  

Monitor emerging trends to incorporate innovative approaches into solution designs.  

Identify opportunities to optimize existing systems and processes for better performance and cost efficiency.  

Qualifications and Skills:  

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).  

Databricks Subject Matter Expert, minimum 5+ years experience in Databricks 

Strong data engineering background with 10+ years experience 

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.  

Strong understanding of best practices in data engineering especially around Data Bricks  

Experience defining development process and practices 

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.  

 

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 64,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 224,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.
This position is available for independent contractors
