Data is one of the foundations of ING’s strategy to become one digital bank and Data Operations is the place to operationalize and execute our data strategy. As Information Manager in the Customer Data Operations domain, you will be part of Data Operations and will be one of the key components to deliver on its purpose “to amplify the power of data” for ING.

The Customer Data Operations function is responsible for creation, updating and in-activations of party, product, agreement, reference data that is critical to the commercial activities and KYC lifecycle, ensuring data quality and compliance at every step.  

What you will do: 

  • Support the Global Head of Customer Data Operations in setting the overall strategy on all aspects of usage of (static) customer data, based on the Data Operations strategy
  • Liaison between the central Customer Data Operations team in head office, local domains and hubs (all business lines)
  • Process leadership on (FM static) customer data related activities, such as counterparty setup and maintenance, Cash SSIs and instrument setup
  • Work on the expansion of services to other domains & countries and standardization and centralization of our efforts across the globe
  • Design and implement monitoring mechanisms in order to make the value we uncover with our customer data operations visible and easily understood by senior management
  • Maximize the principles of digitalization to ensure our human efforts are focused on improving client experience
  • Responsible for ensuring full compliance with INGs service management – and sourcing requirements, including delivering of all documentation
  • Drive automation initiatives

Furthermore, you have:

  • Academic degree (MSc)
  • 10+ years professional experience in operations and banking
  • Hard requirement: Proficient understanding of static data and other (FM) back-office processes (e.g. Party Data, Product Data, Transaction Reference Data, Legal Agreement Data)
  • Expert understanding of FM systems such as Calypso, Summit, Anvil and BOTS
  • International experience in multiple segments and locations
  • Familiarity and experience with ING sourcing framework
  • Strong on conceptual thinking and able to execute
  • A strong network within the bank and a good understanding of the organisation, strategy and our way of working
  • Customer focus and the ability to build trust with (senior) leadership  
  • Ability to take responsibility, steer strategy and realisations based on facts and data, ability to
  • Ability to simplify complexity and drive operational excellence
  • Excellent speech and presentation skills

  • A salary indication of 5.212 - 8.387 EUR based on 36 hours per week, tailored to your qualities and experience in function scale 11/global job grade 17
