Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains data infrastructure across small molecules R&D and manufacturing operations, with a focus on integrating laboratory and process data streams
  • Collaborates with scientists, engineers, and manufacturing teams across the small molecules division to understand data needs and implement effective solutions
  • Creates and optimizes extract, transform, learn (ETL) pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources including electronic lab notebooks, analytical instruments, and manufacturing systems
  • Implements data quality controls and standardization processes to ensure consistency across different teams and operations
  • Works closely with data science teams to prepare datasets, develop analysis pipelines, and support the deployment of artificial intelligence and/or machine learning models
  • Develops documentation and provides technical support to ensure proper data handling practices across teams

Key Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate should possess a BS or MS or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, or another quantitative subject
  • Strong programming skills in a common language (e.g. Python, Java, Go, Ruby)
  • Cloud computing experience, including IaaS and PaaS on a common platform  (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Experience setting up and maintaining data infrastructure, including database querying and design (SQL)
  • Knowledge of laboratory systems (ELN/LIMS)
  • Understanding of laboratory workflows and data collection
