Responsibilities

The Intern - Data Engineer is responsible for assisting the Data team in achievement of its primary objectives: ingesting, transforming, and exposing near real-time, event-driven data streams pertaining to the firm’s data assets. The ideal candidate will exhibit passion for continuous improvement and a dedicated focus on enabling consumers to achieve their goals by making data driven decisions.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes and executes rapid raw data collection from source systems, targets and implements efficient storage of, employs fast and reliable access patterns.
  • Deploy modern data management tools to curate our most important data sets, models, and processes, while identifying areas for process automation and further efficiencies
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals with an aptitude in Finance
  • Leverage the Open-Source community in exploring useful tools to help scale data capture, message/stream processing, and data visualization
  • Assist in expanding operational support capabilities
  • Works proactively with other team members
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance

Early Careers RequirementsPursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant program and graduating between December 2024 and August 2025 (entering penultimate year of university)Available for a June 2024 start date for an 8 – 10-week programProficiency with Microsoft Office suite (preferably Excel)Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
