About our Internship Program

As a ThredUp summer intern, you will be given a firsthand glimpse at what it’s like to work at the world’s largest fashion resale platform. During the 10 week program, you will tackle projects alongside our world-class team, with the opportunity to make a real impact on ThredUp’s business.

About the Internship

Are you a software engineering enthusiast with a passion for solving complex data challenges? Our Data Engineering Internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data and software engineering, where you will experiment rapidly, prototype innovative solutions, and leverage AI-powered tools to build scalable data systems.

In this role, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to design and implement proof-of-concept (POC) projects, iterating quickly to test new ideas and optimize workflows. You will gain hands-on experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, automating processes, and exploring AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and data accessibility across our platform. Working in a fast-paced, agile environment, you will be encouraged to push boundaries, think critically, and apply cutting-edge technology to real-world data engineering challenges.

Success in this role goes beyond just technical skills—it’s about having a deep understanding of data, an innate curiosity to explore possibilities, and a strong desire to build impactful solutions. We are looking for Master’s students or recent graduates with 1-2 years of relevant work experience in software engineering, data engineering, or backend development. Familiarity with AI tooling and cloud platforms is a plus, but what truly matters is your ability to think analytically, experiment boldly, and bring data-driven ideas to life.

This is a 10 week internship from 6/9/2025 - 8/14/2025

This is an hourly role and pays $50  per hour based on currently enrolled academic program or completed level of education.
