Overview:

The Technical Project Manager will initially be responsible for leading a contract providing network architecture and engineering services to a critical mission customer. Additional responsibilities will include bringing innovative ideas, concepts, assessment and implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions across the portfolio. Our dynamic program team provides full spectrum network connectivity including architecture, engineering, development, integration, deployment, configuration management, project management and network security services to the global enterprise, as well as systems and cloud engineering services for application modernization and transition of legacy applications into hybrid cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical project leadership engaging multiple teams and stakeholders to achieve results.  A proven track record of future technology assessment, selection, development, and implementation is required. They must demonstrate exceptional organizational, communication, stakeholder and contractor management skills, along with expertise in technology innovation.

 

Duties may also include:

• Leads a team of contractors to ensure quality delivery that satisfies customer goals and objectives
• Establishes accountability for the performance and results for a multitude of projects
• Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
• Formulates and executes decisions and problem solving within policies, procedures, and department plan; receive guidance from manager
• Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers
• Interfaces with the customer’s mission and contract representatives
• Manages the PMO functional support activities including finance, contracts, and subcontracts
• Leads staffing efforts working across Peraton and subcontractors
• Achieves corporate financial targets
• Develops and implements strategies for contract growth and to position for follow-on acquisitions
• Evaluate and assess current capabilities and identify creative solutions for cutting edge technology solutions across the portfolio

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

• 10 years of experience
• A proven track record of future technology assessment, selection, development, and implementation
• Demonstrated exceptional organizational, communication, stakeholder and contractor management skills, along with expertise in technology innovation
• Experience successfully leading teams of engineering staff to achieve customer satisfaction and provide innovative solutions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead discussions with customers and company leadership
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM or related field
• Network Architecture and Design:
• Proven experience in network architecture, design, and installation.
• Familiarity with network and firewall vendor products, including Cisco, Palo Alto, and SonicWall.
• Cloud Migration Expertise:
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Hands-on experience in performing application and system migration to Cloud environments, including:
• Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure (HCI):
• Experience with HPE – Hardware as a Service (HaaS).
• Artificial Intelligence Proficiency:
• Demonstrated experience in AI implementation.
• Knowledge of available AI tools, such as Chat GPT and Open AI.
• Understanding of common challenges in AI development and deployment.

• Certifications in the following areas:
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Cloud platforms, AWS preferred.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
