Position:  Manager, HR data management, GHRO / Level 7

 

Purpose

Responsible for leading a team of HR data management analysts in the timely execution of employee event data changes that includes reviewing, transacting or answering escalated inquiries on personal data or employee lifecycle change requests and ensuring that all activities are executed in line with standard procedures and service level agreements.


Accountabilities

  • Provides guidance to HR data Analysts and ensure processing of employee and job data changes are completed in alignment with standard processes and related performance targets
  • Coaches Analysts on complex employee inquiries, resolve escalated inquiries, and provide coverage for overflow work when required.
  • Develops and holds self and team accountable to meet objectives aligned to unit’s goals and KPIs, prioritizing workload and re-aligning resources as required to optimize results and throughput.
  • Tracks and reports on volume and activity completed by the team through regular and established reporting, commenting on variances / performance and uses the information to identify process or operational gaps/issues/trends.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, and consult with Senior Manager, Employee Management, Director of Operations, Business HR Partners, and COEs in developing practical solutions.
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and implements people plans to attract, retain, develop and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Dimensions

 

  • Manages around 2 direct reports
  • Services a global community and responds within SLAs timeframe
  • Act as escalation point for any complex/unusual transactions
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of organizational structure and complexity
  • Ensures business continuity for accountabilities under purview, ensuring coverage 5days/week in assigned schedule


Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Human Resources
  • Relevant experience in resolving customer service requests
  • Experience coaching/leading a small team
  • CHRL certification an asset
  • Knowledge of employee data administration and end-to-end processes
  • Knowledge of HR transactions
  • Proven teamwork capabilities
  • Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with transaction processing and data management
  • Experience in conflict / issue resolution.

                                                                                        

Working Conditions
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
