Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Lifecycle Data Engineer to support product data management and technical documentation efforts within the engineering team. This candidate will make extensive use of Deltek Costpoint and Arena Solutions Empower Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) on a daily basis.  This role is responsible for managing technical data packages, coordinating configuration management systems, and creating high-quality technical documentation, including engineering work instructions, process documents, and equipment manuals. The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering data management, configuration control, and technical documentation in a manufacturing or defense environment.

Job Responsibilities

•    Manage engineering BOMs and components in Costpoint, supporting alignment with source data.
•    Implement imports and data alignment of engineering data into Empower PLM and managing the interface to Costpoint.
•    Develop and maintain engineering data documentation to support product lifecycle management and compliance with program requirements.
•    Manage configuration control processes to ensure accuracy and traceability of engineering design changes.
•    Support engineering design reviews and audits by providing accurate technical documentation and configuration reports.
•    Utilize product data management tools to organize and track engineering documents, CAD models, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
•    Provide support to the Product Data Manager and engineering teams in data organization and reporting.
•    Assist in analyzing proposed design changes and recommend improvements based on engineering documentation requirements.
•    Draft and revise technical documentation, such as engineering work instructions, process documents, equipment manuals, and training materials.
•    Format and produce technical publications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
•    Review and improve technical materials prepared by other writers or engineers.
•    Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to gather technical information and ensure accurate documentation.
•    Support the implementation and maintenance of configuration management systems.
•    Maintain compliance with applicable engineering and quality management standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).

Qualifications

•    4+ years of experience in engineering data management, configuration management, or technical documentation roles.
•    Experience with Deltek Costpoint and configuration management tools required.
•    Experience with Empower PLM preferred.
•    Understanding of engineering or manufacturing technical data packages, including CAD models, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and work instructions.
•    Familiarity with industry standards for technical documentation and configuration management (e.g., MIL-STD-973, AS9100, or ISO 9001) is a plus.
•    Experience with CAD and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems preferred.
•    Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

The expected pay scale for this position is $67,236/year - $96,147/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
