About this role:

Primary Research & Insights (PRI) provides a high-quality primary research management and advice service. The Data Analyst will manage and perform data integration, processing, analysis and reporting of the business operations data for PRI Team.

The Primary Research & Insights (PRI) Operations Team is currently seeking a Data Analyst with data and analytical skills who is a strong analytical problem solver, has technical understanding of data/data systems and an exceptional team player to be part of our growing team.

This role will primarily focus on ownership of end-to-end deliverables on research and/or interaction and related assets e.g., business and operations reports, data assets, documents, tools, etc, including business and operational insights.  Initiatives/projects involve data definition, data pull, technical understanding of Gartner data, analyze for insights, build recommendations, visualize data, scale through automate visualizations and reporting.

What you’ll do: 

  • Build end-to-end dashboards that communicate the performance of our research/interactions including root causes and insights of upcoming trends, areas of bright spots and opportunity
  • Standardize and automate the top read of operations data or ways we measure leverage or impact of our research etc, across the internal & external user base considering practice domain, business function, target role / industry / geo, key initiatives and other factors.
  • Improve research and operations reporting (e.g., scorecard, operation reviews, ad hoc requests from PRI and R&A), dashboards.
  • Collaborate with many Gartner teams such as product, research and technology on business requirements, data access, processing/transformation and reporting needs and leverage existing and new tools to provide solutions 
  • Utilize internal tools to streamline and optimize manual processes whenever feasible, such as data extraction and business mapping.
  • Support the creation of a data repository through data discovery, transformation and build data pipeline for scale 
  • Provide clean and curated datasets to end users by applying best practices in data transformation, testing, deploying and documentation  

What you’ll need:

  • Graduation in Statistics, Data science, Mathematics, Engineering, Operational research, Computer science, or Economics with 1-3 years in business or data analytics
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Platforms (preferably PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
  • Experience in handling large datasets, including transforming, cleaning, and configuring data for analysis.
  • Strong ability to work with large quantities of detailed data from multiple sources
  • Technical competency: Advanced Excel (Pivots, power query, automation/macros), SQL and Python.

    Good to have

  • PowerPoint and think-cell charting
  • Experience in managing data pipelines and implementing automated data workflows.
  • Experience with AI tools, Agents and techniques to enhance data analysis and reporting
