Job Description

Trustworthy Machine Learning (ML) is a rapidly growing field focused on ensuring ML systems operate reliably, fairly, and transparently. As ML is increasingly applied in critical sectors like mobility, manufacturing, and autonomous systems, ensuring its trustworthiness is essential.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in developing and ensuring trustworthiness in ML systems.

• Conduct research on trustworthy ML, ensuring reliability, fairness, and transparency.
• Develop novel methodologies to enhance ML system trustworthiness.
• Collaborate with industry and academic partners on research projects.
• Publish findings in top-tier conferences and peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications

• Singaporean or Permanent Resident (PR) (eligibility for EDB-IPP program).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• Must meet the PhD program requirements of NUS/NTU.
• Strong academic record (at least one publication in top-tier conferences or journals preferred).
• Relevant research experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science.
• Familiarity with fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in AI/ML (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Passion for solving real-world problems through research.
• Fresh graduates with excellent academic results are encouraged to apply.
