Vice President, Execution Services, Data Science and Analytics

The Execution Services team is part of the Investor Services franchise within Citi.  We bring market leading trading and execution solutions to clients across several asset classes and trade types: FX, Securities Lending and Collateral Management and Optimisation.  In this role you will work closely with our Sales, Trading and Product management teams to create executable data-driven insights and strategies that will create value for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have mathematical and statistical expertise, along with natural curiosity and a creative mind. While mining, interpreting, and cleaning our data, this person will be relied on to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover hidden opportunities for realizing the data’s full potential.

What you will do:

• Create and continuously improve the business’ analytics library including researching and devising innovative statistical models for data analysis

• Critically evaluate and improve the data sources that the business uses today and identify relevant new sources and data-sets to mine for client and business needs

• Execute analytical experiments and implement new analytics to support Trading and Product Management teams meet the business’ strategic objectives

• Provide clear communication on quantitative solutions and project status to all stakeholders

• Serve as a senior data strategist to identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities, and work closely with the technology teams in the development of data products

• Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big-data stores; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy

• Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind

• Implement analytical models in production by collaborating with software developers within Citi’s Execution Services and Data and Client Platforms franchises

• Keep current with technical and industry developments

What we will need from you:

• A background demonstrating strong analytical critical thinking skills

• An ability to communicate advanced concepts in a concise and logical way

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and writing)

• Strong technical and programming skills with experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, and programming languages (e.g.  Java/Python, SAS)

• Ability to work in a demanding environment. Comfortable with working on projects with tight deadlines

• Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis

• Proficiency in pattern recognition and predictive modelling

• Desirable: Master's or Ph. D degree in Mathematics/Physics/Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent qualification.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$157,040.00 - $235,560.00
