Plays a leading role in driving best practices relative to analytic/automation opportunities in audits by focusing on risks and providing innovative insights/cost-effective solutions. With our standard engagement cadence and focus on developing our talent, this role will be responsible for creating and overseeing ad hoc reporting, proactive monitoring metrics (dashboards) and analyses, and identifying/implementing automation opportunities. This role will partner with Fin Ops Audit Leadership in reviewing upcoming audit plan scope and strategically suggest how data / reporting can complement and streamline audit test execution. While this role is primarily focused on Comcast Corporate and Comcast Cable, the expectation is that this role will collaborate with peers in the Data organization to drive standardization and consistency with NBCU and Sky.Job Description
What You Deliver
- Manages and executes the extraction, manipulation, visualization, and analysis of analytics that support the Corporate / Cable Fin Ops audit lifecycle.
- Guides the activities of Data team members as well as business partner teams (EBI, Finance, Operations, IT, etc.) and keeps the team on track to complete assignments. Provides ongoing feedback on work completion and performance to team members.
- Leads engagement objectives discussions with Cable Fin Ops leadership, understanding systems / processes / data / policies / controls, and provides strategic recommendations on potential data analytics to support and streamline the audit.
- Drives synergies and standardization for Fin Ops audit plans across Corporate, Cable, NBCU, and Sky looking for best practices and re-use.
- Drive development of continuous monitoring efforts in support of increased data quality and reduced manual validation.
- Writes clear and meaningful data analysis workpapers, documenting root-cause (as applicable), work performed, findings, and recommendations for management. Reviews team workpapers and other documentation to ensure they are clear, accurate, complete, and well-organized.
- Manage multiple large deliverables simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Identifies automation opportunities within the business that impact CGA’s audit work and assists in developing the business case to support the implementation. Identifies opportunities for improvement to initiatives, team activities, tools, and training.
- Demonstrates effective project and program management skills for data or automation related projects, including developing project plans and budgets, scheduling deliverables across Comcast Audit and business partner teams, executing per plan, and messaging status/issues to management.
- Ensures all data is secure and follows company policies regarding data classification. Has strong knowledge of IT controls and cyber security concepts and applies to engagements.
- Leads the development and implementation of advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics to identify business risk to support audit decisions. Applies analytical models (e.g., regression, simulation, statistical, etc.) to audit scope areas to identify outliers, trends and/or projections, where appropriate.
- Uses advanced data concepts, tools, and programming techniques (e.g., Incorta, AWS Redshift, Tableau, Datalakes, Oracle Business Intelligence, Teradata and/or comparable platforms) to perform extract, transform, load (ETL) and data analysis activities, and actively shares knowledge with team members.
- Provide hands on guidance to team members on the use of data analysis tools and platforms, (e.g. Python, SQL, AWS, Tableau).
- Creates, documents, and reviews test procedures and scenarios for Unit/SIT/UAT, executes UAT with CGA COEs, and resolves defects, as necessary. Ensures that test procedures and scenarios are appropriate, includes both positive and negative testing, and validates all deliverables are operating as designed.
- Supports the change control process by documenting change requests/requirements and working with Data Team members to implement and test.
- Supports department objectives and performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

- Displays regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and potential travel, as necessary.
How You Partner
- Partners with internal CGA teams (e.g., FinOps, AuditOps, and Technology) across engagement activities. Collaborates with members of CGA engagement teams to understand audit activities and identifies ways that data analytics and/or automation can enhance overall work product, productivity, or audit coverage.
- Collaborates with business partners to develop a common vision for automation of key controls and resulting output for audit consumption.
- Coordinate with auditors, business partners, and other Data Team leaders to ensure consistent testing across corporate entities. Respectfully brainstorm and identify standardization opportunities increasing re-use and sharing and enabling consistency.
