What You'll Be Doing

We are looking for a skilled Artificial Intelligence (AI) Developer to join our team.  The AI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced Gen AI applications to address complex business requirements.  This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create dynamic AI applications and ensuring the successful deployment of AI technologies. The candidate will have a strong background in computer science, data analysis, and AI methodologies, with a passion for leveraging cutting-edge technologies to help drive our business.

How you'll succeed

• Programming Skills - Lead the technical design, development, and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
  • Provide enhancements to existing technologies and work on complex issues involving one or more technical areas.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and infrastructure specialists to gather requirements and conduct research on new and emerging tools and techniques.
  • Identify patterns and best practices to consider in technology proposals while anticipating long-term business issues.
  • Develop project plans based on appropriate standards and methodology.

• Systems Implementation - Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities, designing the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
  • Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
  • Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals.
    Act as the AI application development team lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet goals.
  • Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating, and problem-solving.

• Troubleshooting  and Technical Skills – Work closely with key business and technology partners to ensure that business and client impact issues are well understood and addressed.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and information security standards and policies are maintained in all aspects of the application management. 
  • Provide technical guidance concerning business implications of application development projects.

• Relationship Management - Build strong relationships and partnerships with technical team members, clients, vendors and peers. 
  • Lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure problems/issues are identified and resolved.
  • Express oneself and communicate with others verbally at an advanced level; recognizing that verbal communication is more than just language - it includes tone, style and structure.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate experience. in Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, langchain, llama index, and FastAPI.
• Skilled in Python environments including PyCharm, Jupyter, and Visual Studio Code.
• Skilled in Vue.js
• Experience deploying Python applications on Azure (Azure App Services, Azure Functions).
• Experience with Azure OpenAI Service and working with open-source LLMs such as LLAMA and Mixtral.
• Experience building Gen AI applications.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, focusing on Azure API management.
• Deploy and manage Python apps on Azure, optimizing cloud services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab Actions).
• Knowledge of containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft PromptFlow or RAGS evaluation matrix.
• Experience working on Retrieval Augmented Generation framework.
• Expertise in writing and tuning prompts for LLMs.
• Experience with indexing/chunking strategies for RAG applications.
• Work with search solutions (Azure AI search).
• Advanced proficiency with Git.
• You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study.
