You Have: 

• 1+ years of experience working with algorithms, machine learning models, or MLOps to produce analytical or visual products

• Knowledge of data formats, such as JSON, Parquet, Avro, or CSV

• Ability to work with DataFrames, SQL utilizing Spark, PySpark, or Python Pandas or Polars

• Ability to communicate and report findings and research clearly and concisely for clients 

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 2+ years of experience with engineering code in an object-oriented language, such as Python, C, C++, Go, Rust, Java, R, or Haskell, or Master's degree and experience with engineering code in an object-oriented language, such as Python, C, C++, Go, Rust, Java, R, or Haskell

Nice If You Have:

• Experience working in a team environment for Git, GitLab, or GitHub

• Experience with scaling data engineering across distributed computing clusters, including Apache Nifi, Spark, Dask, Airflow, or Luigi

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies, such as Elasticsearch, Solr, HBase, Accumulo, Cassandra, Weaviate, ChromaDB, DuckDB, Neo4j, AWS DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB

• Master’s degree in Data Science, ML Engineering, or similar

• AWS or Google certifications, such as Data Analytics, Machine Learning Engineer, or Solutions Architect

• ML engineering, cloud architecture, software engineering, web development, or data science certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
