The Data Analytics Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving data-driven decision-making and business intelligence within the Claims organization. This role requires a proven leader who has successfully managed analytics teams, with the ability to align data insights to business objectives while ensuring the professional growth of team members.
This position acts as a critical connector between analytics and senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights that influence key business strategies. The role involves leading a team of analysts, prioritizing high-impact analyses, and ensuring seamless collaboration between Claims, Finance, Business Intelligence, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Analytics & Performance Measurement
Oversee the development and execution of performance reporting and KPI measurement, including Service Quality, Severity, Growth, Turnover, Efficiencies, and Accuracy.
Provide forecasting and trend analysis, anticipating business challenges and opportunities.
Develop and deliver executive-ready insights and reports that translate data into strategic recommendations.
Lead projects involving statistical modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and clustering, ensuring analytics drive meaningful business impact.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple business reporting initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
Manage and mentor a team of analysts, ensuring they have the resources, training, and direction needed to succeed.
Drive a culture of analytical rigor, innovation, and continuous improvement, enabling team members to develop new skills and enhance analytical capabilities.
Oversee performance evaluations, goal-setting, and coaching to build a high-performing analytics team.
Foster strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure analytics are integrated into business strategy and decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Impact
Act as a liaison between analytics and senior business leaders, proactively identifying opportunities where data-driven insights can improve outcomes.
Work with Finance, Claims, Business Intelligence, and Market Research to ensure alignment of analytics initiatives across the organization.
Provide data-driven recommendations for strategic planning, influencing key decisions across claims operations.
Create and refine automated dashboards and visualization tools in Tableau improving accessibility and usability of insights.
Technology & Advanced Analytics
Lead advanced analytics initiatives, leveraging SQL, Teradata, R, Python, and Excel for deep data analysis.
Identify and implement best practices for data mining, forecasting, and root cause analysis.
Evaluate and recommend process improvements, leveraging automation and scalable analytics solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in data analytics, financial modeling, or business intelligence, with at least 3+ years managing an analytics team.
Strong experience in executive reporting and data-driven storytelling.
Hands-on proficiency with SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex calculations, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team of analysts, including performance management and mentoring.
Claims or insurance industry experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to balance technical analysis with business impact, anticipating stakeholder needs and proactively addressing data challenges.
Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines, ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$117,600.00 - $156,400.00Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
