Financial Data Analyst II

Position Purpose:   

• This position is responsible for the financial data analytic needs of the organization. The position will use a combination of financial analysis tools and techniques as well as data analysis tools and technologies to generate, analyze, report, and interpret financial and other data used across the organization. This position will support Fidelis Care health plan.

In this Financial Data Analyst II role, you will:

• Monitor requirements on Health Care Reform Act (HCRA) from the New York State DOH website and work with various teams to implement changes
• Manage Develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations
• Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately
• Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management; strong process documentation skillset preferred
• Support business initiatives through data analysis, identification of implementation barriers and user acceptance testing of various systems
• Diagnose problems and identify opportunities for process redesign and improvement
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Travel:  While living in the greater New York or New Jersey area is not required, occasional visits to our Long Island City, NY office, approximately once per month, are welcomed.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of statistical or data analysis experience.
• Experience with financial analysis focused on month end close, government reporting, and financial forecasting.

Highly preferred:

• Experience in coding (SQL preferred)
• Experience in Facets system
• Experience in Managed Care industry

This role offers flexibility with three location options: you can work fully in our Long Island City, NY office, follow a hybrid schedule (office and remote work in NY/NJ), or work entirely remotely within the continental US.
