Currently, we are looking for a new Data & Analytics Engineer who are passionate about developing solutions that utilize data to help people. If this sounds like you, and you are ready to take on a broad area of responsibilities with an independent attitude, you are a match for us.​ 

Zealand Pharma’s newly established and growing Analytics team is on the lookout for an innovative and energetic Data & Analytics Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ETL processes and hands-on experience with MS Fabric, Databricks, and/or other data warehousing and reporting platforms with Python and SQL as the main development languages. Proficiency in Power BI and experience within the Biotech and Life Sciences sector is highly desirable, but we also value the desire to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Lead collaborations cross-functionally to understand their processes and data requirements to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration.
• Utilize the services within MS Fabric to build, orchestrate and maintain data ingestion and curation making sure it is available for our users.
• Maintain and configure Power BI for our users, develop reports and dashboards when necessary.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our data infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain solutions source code in Azure DevOps
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, systems, and workflows.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of new data governance processes, this includes data cataloguing, data contracts, and data security.
• Incident Management: Respond to and resolve IT incidents and issues in our data products.

Candidate profile

• Proven experience as a Data & Analytics Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques.
• Hands-on experience with MS Fabric, Databricks, and/or other data warehousing technologies.
• Ability to understand business needs and translating that to business requirements.
• Experience in Azure DevOps repos and pipelines is desirable.
• Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting is a plus.
• Experience within the Biotech and Life Sciences industry is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
