Your profile

Your role as a Senior DevOps Engineer:As a Senior DevOps engineer at BuildingMinds, you will be part of a top-notch engineering team. As the team is expanding fast, you will provide the means to keep our development activities running effectively. You will own our Azure cloud, source code repositories, CI/CD, Container orchestration, message brokering infrastructure and automation and partner with the developers to constantly identify ways to increase developer productivity. With a strong focus on quality and your own software development expertise you can also coach developers on how to automate and operate the cloud infrastructure their code is running on. You will work with our Full stack software engineers on a cloud-native state-of-the art technology stack (e.g. Azure, Angular, TypeScript, Python, Row based and columnar storage) that is constantly expanding.
In detail you will:

• Lead a DevOps team
• Develop cloud-based applications on a microservice architecture
• Create automation scripts, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, gitops setting
• Implement application performance monitoring
• Coach and support team members in the use of the tools and technologies
• Support the use and implementation of agile tools and methodologies
• Ensure the security of our platform with implementing and fostering DevSecOps practices.

• Own a higher degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent
• Have around 5 years of relevant DevOps experience
• Can showcase an excellent knowledge of cloud infrastructure automation, Azure is a plus
• Manage CI/CD pipelines
• Have experience with application performance monitoring and centralized logging in distributed architectures, microservice architecture, kafka or other messaging systems to efficiently manage and process high-volume data streams and database management: row based and columnar storage
• Did site reliability engineering, infrastructure as code like terraform, agile software development processes, kubernetes, helm and gitops
• Are passionate about high quality cloud solutions and software development
• Have a strong interest in technology and keeping up with the trends and best practices for modern development approaches
• Have experience with application performance management
• Have experience with the CI/CD processes of complex microservice-based cloud solutions
• Are used to working with agile methodologies in a quickly changing environment
