Power BI Developer - ONSITE

    MetaPhase is seeking a Power BI Developer as a member of MetaPhase’s team supporting a National Security function within a cabinet-level Federal Civilian department. In this role, the primary focus will be to provide technical expertise to synthesize and visualize project data for customer needs to support continuous process improvement and advise clients on project data for numerous projects across their portfolio.   Candidates must work effectively across project teams, be sharp, creative, well written, and articulate when speaking with senior client leadership. This candidate will be responsible for the development of standardized plans through coordination with project managers (government and contractor).  Basic Qualifications (Required) 

• A minimum of two or more (2+) years of direct experience in Power BI development. Federal experience is preferred.

• Experience gathering and analyzing requirements via problem-solving sessions, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and reviews of existing documentation. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including drafting announcements to users, creating desk guides, and conducting user training sessions. 
• Experience with Power Automate and process automation. 

• Q, Top Secret, or equivalent clearance  

• U.S. citizenship required (no exceptions)  

Additional Qualifications (Desired) 

• Proficiency in Smartsheets

• Data Analytics Certification  

• Experience with business process improvement 

Essential Responsibilities  

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to identify requirements and assess current state of  existing systems and processes. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure new solutions are fully compatible and integrate with enterprise architectural frameworks. 

• Design technical solutions to meet business requirements using the appropriate and applicable Microsoft tools.  

• Provide hands-on development, including drafting functional prototypes for demos, building proposed solutions (such as data visualizations and dashboards) and preparing solutions for launch.  

• Design, test, plan and coordinate user acceptance testing. 

• Create and conduct technical demonstrations of prototypes and incorporate user feedback. 

• Draft communications, technical and user documentation associated with all technical solutions developed. 

• Conducts user training, manages system permissions, and troubleshoots user issues. 

Work Location Onsite Monday-Friday in Washington DC   Travel Periodic travel within the United States   Education Level Minimum High School Degree/GED   Clearance Level Top Secret/TS/Q Clearance or equivalent clearance   Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
