WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Design, develop, maintain, optimize and document the corporate Azure Data Factory pipelines following the corporate development framework.
- Design and implement data models and define both logical and physical models.
- Develop, maintain and optimize data pipeline architecture.
- Execute CI/CD protocols using Azure DevOps to run deployment pipelines.
- Design, develop, and maintain various DataMarts.
- Ensure full up-to-date documentation is maintained.
- Ensure all information assets are fully tested, documented and reflect accurate data for timely and optimized reporting of corporate information.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with IT/IS teams, data science professionals, BI development team, and various business units to identify data quality issues and develop solutions.
- Responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of data warehouse environment, tools, and jobs.
- Ensure critical process contingency plans are in place for any key processes required to ensure data availability.
- Monitor data warehouse work and provide subject matter expertise.
- Analyze and optimize various data warehouse objects.
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable privacy regulations.
- Any other related responsibilities not detailed herein but that could be reasonably expected.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- Bachelor’s degree in computer software science or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Azure SQL MI, designing, developing, and scripting database objects.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
- Extensive experience in relational and multi-dimensional data modeling, including multiple source systems from databases and flat files, OLAP, ROLAP.
- Expert experience in data pipeline and data mart development using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Proficiency in using Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation tasks is essential.
- Extensive experience in development and administration with Azure SQL Database.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in project management methodologies.
- Works independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical skills to solve and model complex business requirements.
- Places emphasis on client satisfaction and clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical team members and other staff.
- Demonstrated ability for creativity and innovative problem solving.
- Able to multi-task in a dynamic environment and think clearly and calmly under pressure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires flexibility and balancing of competing priorities.
- Ability to deal with situations, people, and problems ethically, with honesty and integrity.
