The Role
A Credit Risk Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and managing analytical tools to evaluate and monitor credit risk and returns across portfolios, ensuring effective pricing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Pricing and Credit Risk Analysis: Utilising statistical techniques and data analysis to assess portfolio-level credit risk, returns, and risk aligned pricing.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across customer segments using advanced analytics to ensure portfolio performance is in alignment with risk and return targets.
- Policy and Strategy Development: Supporting the creation of credit risk policies, underwriting strategies, and pricing proposals.
- Data-Driven Insights: Delivering actionable insights and recommendations to optimise risk-adjusted returns, and creating / maintaining monitoring post strategy implementation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with internal teams, including operations , product, finance, and compliance, to align risk management objectives with business goals.
- Analytical expertise and strong coding skills (SQL, VBA, Python) are essential.
Requirements
- A degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficient in SQL.
- Experience with cash flow simulations and IRR calculations.
- Experience in Credit Risk.
- Understanding of credit risk metrics (PD, LGD, EAD) and financial modelling.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solvings kills and attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in SME lending.
- Tableau experience.
- Python and VBA experience.
