Position Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $110k- $155k (depending on experience)

Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-office (see on-site requirements below).

**On-site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD.  Additionally, this position requires on-site work at Patuxent River, MD 1 - 2 days per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide data architecture, database development, and DDL support to senior techs, functionals, and other developers in support of a large data warehouse.  
  • Provide technical advisement and expertise in DDL processes and procedures. 
  • Write and edit SQL scripts for creation, population, truncation, migration, or manipulation of data tables, views, and materialized views within schemas.  
  • Troubleshoot data warehouse errors and technical issues.
  • Perform data collection, data analysis, testing, and troubleshooting on large quantities of data. 
  • Analyze data from source systems; designing and developing extraction programs/scripts; loading source data into target systems or data warehouse within various environments. 
  • Assist configuration management team with data, information, files, and document management.
  • Apply roles to database tables, create database accounts.
  • Develop data architectures.
  • Develop Informatica Mappings.
  • Create Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to connect data sources.

Requirements

Required:

  • Experience with data architecture/engineering, data analysis, database design/development and/or conducting data extraction and loading required.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, SQL, and Visual Basic required.
  • Experience with AWS cloud native services/technologies for data architecture and engineering required.
  • BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.

Desired:

  • Experience with Business Objects, Informatica, TOAD, and JavaScript preferred.
  • Experience providing support to NAVAIR IT applications/projects desired.
  • Experience with JSON and APIs preferred.
  • Experience with data / database migration from on-prem to cloud (AWS) desired.
  • Security+ certification preferred.

Education/Experience:  BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.

Security Clearance:Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.  Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
