Visualization is used to explore data, reveal patterns, and to communicate to different audiences. Topics range from human visual perception and cognition, to the critical interpretation of design and accuracy in information graphics. Practical application of course material will require students to develop information graphics for peer review and critique.

Sessional Lecturer I - $$18,915.79
Sessional Lecturer I Long Term - $19,861.58
Sessional Lecturer II - $20,243.53
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term - $20,653.23
Sessional Lecturer III - $20,725.52
Sessional Lecturer III Long Term - $21,140.03
All pay rates are inclusive of vacation pay. Should rates stipulated in the Collective Agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the Collective Agreement shall prevail.
Qualifications: The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Biology or related field. The decision on hiring will be based on previous teaching experience in this course or other similar courses, academic qualifications, ability, and suitability for the position.
Description of duties: Normal duties associated with teaching a university course, including preparation and delivery of course content, development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams, calculation and submission of grades, contact with students by regular office hours. Completion of all grades (may include make-up exams). Duties will include supervision of the day-to-day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course.
