About Our Finance Department

Our Financial Management team is at the heart of Capitec’s strategic goals, driving financial excellence, innovation, and long-term business growth. We are transforming into a highly strategic, tech-driven function, leveraging AI, data analytics, and automation to stay ahead of industry trends and continuously improve our financial processes. The role of finance professionals at Capitec is evolving from transactional tasks to more strategic and advisory responsibilities, focusing on real-time insights, integrated systems, and data-driven decision-making, all while emphasizing sustainability and risk management. 

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact

As a Revenue Assurance Analyst, you will ensure the accuracy and completeness of fee and interest transactions on Capitec's retail banking clients' accounts. Your responsibilities will include systematically analysing, quantifying, reconciling, and testing transactions in line with the bank’s approved product price schedules, relevant business logic, and regulatory standards.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate proficiency in SQL, Python and Excel by:

• Developing and executing scripts to analyse large datasets, automate reconciliations, and validate financial transactions
• Building SQL, Python and Excel models to quantify financial calculations and identify potential sources of revenue leakage.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to transform complex financial data into actionable insights using SQL, Python and Excel.

Your Skills & Experience

• Degree in Mathematical Sciences (Mathematical Statistics, Financial/Quantitative Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or Operations Research)
• 1 – 3 years of analytical experience in a mathematically complex environment or an Honours degree with 0 – 2 years of experience
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and Excel
• Skilled in data analysis, automation, and financial transaction validation
• Experience in building models to quantify financial calculations and identify revenue leakage
