What you'll do

Excellence in organic search is one of the pillars of our overall Growth strategy and is of vital importance for our site traffic generation. The Senior SEO Manager, Content, is a key member of the Growth team, responsible for driving and optimizing our organic search activities. This position will contribute to building and implementing the Docusign SEO strategy with a strong focus on content, in partnership with the Global SEO team, and will work with varied collaborators to ensure its successful implementation.

 

This person will fully support the channel objectives to drive high quality traffic to Docusign.com to accelerate revenue growth with a primary focus on profitability. The ideal candidate will also connect with Content Marketing colleagues to fully exploit all SEO opportunities in the US and Canada. This person will play a key role within the Growth team and collaborate closely with the broader Marketing, Content and PLG teams to help create a best-in-class program.

 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Global SEO Director.

 

Responsibility

  • Create and implement the Docusign SEO Content strategy, ensuring alignment with Docusign Performance Marketing initiatives, Global SEO, Content, Analytics, Operations, and PLG Engineering
  • Lead and drive the day-to-day Docusign SEO operations for content and off-site SEO with key performance indicators and goal accountability by monitoring and reporting US performance to Leadership
  • Initiate SEO projects (relating to content, UX, Digital PR, etc.) to grow a multimillion-dollar revenue channel by addressing on-page, technical, and offsite elements
  • Stay abreast of the evolution of search experiences, such as new SERP features, AI Overviews, Search GPT, etc., and align team resources and efforts to future-proof our traffic generation programs
  • Influence, challenge and create change across the broader global SEO, Content and PLG roadmaps to achieve goals and mitigate risk to traffic and revenue
  • Serve as the voice of Content SEO in the Docusign offices, responsible for evangelizing SEO, driving standard process definition and execution, including training internal team members
  • Develop and lead all aspects of content strategies that resonate with target audiences and align with brand objectives, demonstrating a mix of keyword-focused and creative content approaches
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and delivery of SEO content projects ensuring alignment with business objectives and timeline
  • Handle SEO agency for all content requests
  • Assess and allocate resources effectively to meet project demands, and monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as necessary
  • Analyze project data to identify trends, measure success, and inform future strategies
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and partners
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all SEO content production related communications
  • Champion a collaborative and high-performing team environment

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • 8+ years hands-on Content-focused SEO or Traffic Generation experience (either agency or client side)
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience

Preferred

  • Proficiency with some or all of these SEO tools/platforms, such as Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Confluence, JIRA, Tableau and Google Analytics
  • Advanced content, writing and editing skills
  • Possess a leadership presence with an ability to articulate a coherent, logical, and well-orchestrated SEO vision all while adapting to the specific Docusign situation
  • Ability to influence leaders to prioritize SEO content strategies within their larger objectives
  • A demonstrated passion for SEO and eCommerce/performance marketing
  • Possess skills and interests in any content, data analysis and testing, competitive analysis, AI search, digital PR, or UX
  • Embrace and thrive in an international working environment as a result of understanding the complexities of a large, global organization
  • Analytical, data driven and a clear, independent problem solver
  • Interested in the broader business context
  • Strong time management, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

 

California: $122,300.00 - $190,650.00 base salary

 

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
