We help our clients in identifying and managing the interplay between upside and downside risk in order to make the long-term decisions to prevent risk and impact on their organization's ability to meet its future business strategy and objectives.

The 3 key fields of play are :

Enterprise Risk - helps clients identify and address key risk areas, while building the agility to respond quickly. The areas of focus include Enterprise risk and resilience, Internal audit, Compliance and Internal controls

Technology Risk - helps clients to achieve sustainable growth by supporting their efforts to protect their business performance and by providing trusted communications on internal control and regulatory compliance to investors, management, regulators, customers and other stakeholders. EY teams accomplish this by assessing the technology risks that are introduced to businesses.

Financial Services Risk - helps clients in the financial sector to identify, manage and monitor the risks in their business. It is done through a transformative and agile approach including process and procedures, risk, data modeling and analytics, reporting to stakeholders and third parties, business requirements (for software selection and IT implementation), analysis of assets and liabilities, and capital and liquidity management.

Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

A data analyst is responsible for organizing data related to sales numbers, market research, logistics, linguistics, or other behaviours. They utilize technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high-quality. Data is then analysed, designed, and presented in a way that assists individuals, businesses, and organizations make better decisions

• Using automated ETL tools like SAP BODS, ADF, etc. to extract data from primary and secondary sources

• Removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems

• Developing and maintaining database systems, data systems – reorganizing data in a readable format 

• Performing analysis to assess quality and meaning of data

• Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems

• Using statistical tools to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction

• Assigning numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.

• Analysing local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry

• Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data

• Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies. 

• Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends. 

Skills and attributes

To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification

• Minimum 1 Year of experience in Data Analytics or a related field.

• Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyse data 

• Proficiency in SQL is required, and knowledge of Python is highly desirable.

• Technical proficiency in database design, development of data models, data mining techniques, and customer segmentation is preferred.

• Experience with big data processing platforms such as Apache Spark and Hadoop is beneficial, but a strong willingness to learn and adapt to these technologies is essential.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense is an added advantage.

• Verbal and Written communication skills

• Proven working experience in data analysis and data manipulation

Experience

0 to 1 year of post-qualification experience.
